equestrian experiences at CHEEKYE RANCH
Our beautiful Ranch is also home to Second Chance Cheekye Ranch, with all our rescue horses and donkeys living on property. SCCR is a non profit that was established in 2016 by owner Kris Latham. With the aim of rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming horses in need, Kris and her dedicated team of volunteers has been able to rescue close to 300 equines to date. Many of these equines have or will find loving homes with some remaining at the Ranch to become part of our equine programs, either being used for trail lessons or leases. The serene landscape of the Ranch paired with our growing facilities makes for a perfect place for any equine activity, whether exploring the trails next to the Cheakamus River, taking a riding lesson, or starting out with the basics of horsemanship.
