Cheekye Ranch is home to Greg Hinds and Kris Latham and their extended family of dogs, cats, pigs, horses, and Cheeks the donkey. Supported by a village of volunteers, friends, family and a few staff; they work tirelessly day and night improving the land and facilities while preserving the wild nature of the forest. For 25 years the Sea To Sky corridor has been their stomping grounds, and they are excited to share the beauty of the area with locals and guests alike.
Boasting one of the most beautiful stretches of land bordering the Cheakamus river, Cheekye Ranch has year round beauty. During the winter months enjoy front row seats to one of North America’s largest congregations of wintering bald eagles (Haliaeetus leucocephalus), with the best eagle viewing between December and February. Spring marks the end of the rainy season when the cherry trees bloom and the deer and black bears start doing their rounds. The heat of the summer is relentless and welcomed after the rainy season. The Ranch comes alive with festivals and events; all while maintaining its tranquility from the busyness of city life. Fall brings a kaleidoscope of colours, delectable wild mushrooms, and much needed rainfall to maintain the lush rainforest.
The professionally landscaped event area showcases stunning views of Paradise Valley and Garabaldi Provincial Park. The event area is large enough to accommodate almost any size of event, with natural swimming areas, shady forested alcoves, and wide open sunny fields.
